A beautiful oxblood coral ring from the?Victorian?(ca1880) era! This striking piece is crafted in 14kt gold,?and has quite an artistic design. At the center of the setting is a natural, un-dyed?coral plaque, which is intricately hand-carved?with a lovely floral motif. This particular variety of coral has a deep, rich red color known as "oxblood," which is particularly valuable and desired among collectors! Delicate cutouts form the shapes of?individual flowers, blooming with cheerful petals and stems surrounded by leaves. Completing the design is a decorative filigree pattern that emerges along the sides and shoulders of the setting. Condition:?The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold filigree setting?or to the natural carved oxblood coral stone, which is intact and securely set.
